Dr. Zhao Meiling President of WDES.AA Visited Tibet Autonomous Region

June 24, 2025 – Liu Zhenzhong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD), and Zhao Meiling, President of the WEDS.AA led a “Silk Road Happiness” Special Fund delegation on a visit to Tibet.

The delegation met with Yang Lahong, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Tibet Autonomous Region, and Tsering Yangkyi, Chairperson of the Tibet Women’s Federation. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between non-governmental organizations, promoting China’s stories, and specifically sharing narratives about Tibetan women.

Deputy Director Yang and Chairperson Tsering Yangkyi welcomed the delegation. They expressed sincere gratitude for the “Silk Road Happiness” Special Fund’s generous assistance to student victims of the recent earthquake in Shigatse.
