WEDS.AA Donates Schoolbags to Guinean Students

On September 29, 2026, WEDS.AA held a ceremony at the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea to donate 500 schoolbags to Guinean students. WEDS.AA President Dr. Zhao Meiling, the Guinean Ambassador to China, and embassy diplomats attended the event. The two sides had in-depth exchanges of views and reached consensus on promoting exchanges and cooperation between non-governmental organizations and in the women’s field of the two countries.

President Zhao said that China-Guinea friendship goes back a long way, and Guinea is the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic relations with China. WEDS.AA, as a women’s civil organization, is committed to building a bridge of people-to-people friendship between China and Guinea and enhancing the bond between women and people of the two countries.

 The Guinean Ambassador thanked WEDS.AA for the donation, fully affirmed its positive role in China-Africa friendly exchanges, praised President Zhao for her great love and dedication to women’s and children’s causes, and expressed sincere gratitude for this generous act.
