Ink and Brush Celebrate Magnificent Chapter
On June 17, 2025, on the 5th anniversary and the launch ceremony for anthem of Women Empowerment and Development Society in Asia- Africa (WEDS.AA), renowned calligraphers and painters Dai Yuchun, Jun Shou, Deng Sheng, Liu Yuhe, and Liang Dai, accompanied by young student Liu Zhiyu, presented meticulously crafted Chinese calligraphy and painting works to the WEDS.AA. These artistic creations, embodying the wisdom of Eastern aesthetics, celebrated the association’s 5th anniversary. The artworks focused on themes of harmony, development, and female empowerment, conveying the Chinese culture’s heartfelt wishes for the advancement of Asian and African women. Dr. Zhao Meiling, President of WEDS.AA, expressed her gratitude for the artists’ benevolent blessings, emphasizing that cultural exchange facilitates friendly cooperation among Asian and African women, which serves as a concrete interpretation of the conference’s theme, “Brushstrokes of Friendship, Boundless Love “.
Master Dai Yuchun’s calligraphic work, “Distance Matters Not to True Friends, Even Miles Apart We Remain Neighbors ” expressed that despite the geographical distance, the hearts of WEDS.AA sisters remain closely connected. Master Deng Sheng’s creation, “Auspicious Lotus”, combined the elegance and beauty of lotus flowers with their auspicious meaning, achieving both artistic and symbolic excellence.

Ambassador Liu Yuhe’s work, “Friendship Encompasses the World,” utilized the traditional Chinese auspicious symbol of the gourd to highlight WEDS.AA’s boundless love, convey wishes for good fortune and happiness to Asian and African sisters. Master Jun Shou, through a collaborative creation with guests titled “Hundred Flowers Bloom Together,” demonstrated WEDS.AA’s mission to promote joint development and shared prosperity among Asian and African women, realizing the beautiful vision of diverse flourishing.

Master Liang Dai, together with his eight-year-old student Liu Zhiyu, presented the calligraphic work “United Hearts Gather Sisters, Universal Love Connects Asia&Africa,” once again illustrating the artists’ profound affection transcends the Asian and African continents, accurately and movingly interpreting WEDS.AA’s core spirit.







To enable both domestic and international guests better experience with the charm of Chinese calligraphy and painting and their profound cultural significance, Master Jun Shou and Ambassador Liu guided distinguished guests in a collaborative ink painting session at the entrance of the venue.
