President Zhao attended the reception for the Egyptian Army Day

On October 21, 2024, President Zhao of the Women Empowerment & Development Society in Asia-Africa attended a reception commemorating the 51st anniversary of Egypt’s Army Day at the invitation of Brigadier General Ahmed Shehata, Defense Attaché of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in China. Egyptian Ambassador to China Assem Hanafi, representatives of the People’s Liberation Army of China, people from all walks of life, and envoys from many countries in China attended the reception.

The national anthem of China and Egypt sounded, and envoys from various countries stationed in China and guests attending the meeting followed the documentary to learn about the results of cooperation between China and Egypt in different fields, which vividly reflected the long-standing friendly relations between China and Egypt.

Brigadier General Ahmed Shehata, Egyptian defense attaché to China, delivered a speech at the reception, reviewing the history of Egypt’s October Revolution and national defense development, and expressing gratitude to the Chinese and Egyptian governments and the two militaries for the friendly cooperation.

At the reception, President Zhao had in-depth exchanges with the guests on site, shared the achievements of the Women Empowerment & Development Society in Asia-Africa in promoting women’s development and protecting women’s rights and interests, and discussed possible future cooperation opportunities.
