On February 4, 2026, the WEDSTAR Brand Public Welfare Project was officially launched jointly by Ms. Zhao Meiling, President of the Asia-Africa Women’s Promotion Association, Ms. Zhi Qun, Vice President, HAN Zhiqiang, former Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Chen Jianfeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hui’an County Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Hui’an County, Fujian Province, as well as Ambassadors of 12 countries to China, including Senegal, Mauritius, Namibia, Maldives, Cambodia, South Sudan, Cape Verde, Pakistan, Myanmar and Cyprus.

The WEDSTAR Project embarks on a new journey for public welfare undertakings between Asia and Africa. Through charitable donations, the project will carry out tangible public welfare programs across Asia and Africa, particularly in Africa, dedicated to improving the education and living conditions of women and children.
Covering the fields of education, culture, health care and employment, the project includes the construction and upgrading of schools, clinics and infrastructure, with a view to advancing the development and well-being of women and children in Asia and Africa.

To date, the WEDSTAR Scholarship has been established at the Education University of Hong Kong, specifically supporting students from Global South countries studying at the university. Multiple rural primary schools in Asian and African countries have received assistance, among which the upgrading and renovation of Lumbini Temple Primary School in Nepal has been completed.
In the future, the project plans to select dilapidated rural primary schools in Asian and African countries for renovation and upgrading, so as to safeguard students’ access to education and extend the power of public welfare across mountains and seas.

Public welfare thrives through joint efforts. With the strong support of all sectors, the WEDSTAR Brand Public Welfare Project is poised to advance steadily, contributing to deepening Asia-Africa friendship and jointly fulfilling the vision of public welfare.
