Chinese and International Guests Jointly Painted a Rainbow

On the afternoon of March 17, 2026, Women Empowerment and Development Society in Asia and Africa and The Pakistan Embassy, Beijing, jointly held the official launching ceremony of the WEDSTAR—the AI Painting International Co-creating Project. During the event, Chinese and international guests created a painting titled Asian and African Women Painting a Rainbow on site using royal painting techniques, which was then turned into a dynamic video with AI.

The eight-feet painting is rich in content and deep in meaning. The ambassadors’ wives painted ripe fruits on an old, strong olive tree. They also painted doves of peace, some resting on huge rocks and others flying in the sky. These are symbols of peace, expressing the common wish of people everywhere to desire and cherish peace.

The blooming plum blossoms and winter jasmine show that spring has arrived. Spring is the season when all life revives, symbolizing new hope.

The lotus flowers symbolize purity, integrity, harmony, and good fortune. Two children, one from China and one from Africa, painted two lotus buds. These buds represent the future of their countries and the hope of the world.

The rainbow is a symbol of the bridge connecting Asia and Africa. Every time a rainbow appears, it is after a storm. This also teaches us a lesson about life. The Ambassadors of Pakistan and Mauritius to China, together with President Zhao Meiling, joyfully painted the seven-color rainbow. Together, they were building a bridge and bond of friendly cooperation between the people of Asian and African countries.

The huge rocks and distant mountains symbolize that the friendship between the people of China, Africa, and Asia is as solid as a rock. It is a friendship that can cross mountain and sea.

The camel in the desert gives people a feeling of traveling through time. In ancient times, there was the Silk Road; today, there is the Belt and Road Initiative. Together, we discuss, build, and share, working for world peace and development.
