WEDSTAR—the AI Painting International Co-creating Project Officially Launched
On the afternoon of March 17, 2026, Women Empowerment and Development Society in Asia and Africa and The Pakistan Embassy, Beijing, jointly held the launching ceremony of WEDSTAR—the AI Painting International Co-creating Project. About 80 diplomatic envoys and their spouses from around 20 countries, including Pakistan, Mauritius, Myanmar, Senegal, Cabo Verde, and UNESCO, attended the event.
Zhao Meiling, President of Women Empowerment and Development Society in Asia and Africa, noted that WEDSTAR—the AI Painting International Co-creating Project is a new attempt. It uses paintbrushes as a medium and technology as a bridge, combining artistic expression with technological innovation to show the strength of Asian and African women.

Khalil Hashmi, the Ambassador of Pakistan to China, stated that WEDSTAR—the AI Painting International Co-creating Project organically combines traditional art with technological innovation, responding to the common aspirations of billions of people worldwide. He emphasized that women are playing an increasingly important role in promoting reform, driving innovation, and benefiting humanity.

Gaëtan Michel Siew Hew Sam, The Ambassador of Mauritius to China highlighted that WEDSTAR—the AI Painting International Co-creating Project is an excellent idea and a beneficial initiative. It creates a platform for exchange and mutual learning among women and children from Asia and Africa, allowing them not only to freely express their visions for a better future but also to draw inspiration from the unique perspectives and characteristics of different civilizations and cultures.

This cross-cultural public welfare project is open to women, primary and secondary school students, and university students from Asian and African countries. Participants are encouraged to connect through their artwork, pursue their dreams, and together paint a beautiful future filled with love and hope.
