Chinese And Foreign Guests Celebrated The Mid Autumn Festival
On October 8, 2025, amiding the Mid Autumn Festival,the Women’s Empowerment and Development Society of Asia and Africa and Beijing Longqingxiang jointly held a Mid Autumn Moon Appreciation Party, where they enjoyed tea and talked about the harmony of people with a full moon. More than 30 Chinese and foreign guests, including the chairman of the Group Of African Ambassadors’ Spouses in China、 the spouse of Gabon’s ambassador, and the spouse of Burundi and Iraq’s ambassadors, attended the ceremony.

In her speech, President Zhao Meiling pointed out that the Mid-Autumn Festival originated from the worship of the moon in ancient times and has a history of more than 1000 years. It was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.

She emphasized that there are nearly 200 countries and over 2000 ethnic groups in the world, each with its unique culture. The more ethnic the culture is, the more it can shine brightly in the vast starry sky, like lighting up a lamp for the world. Culture is colorful through communication, and civilization is enriched through mutual learning; Cultural exchange and interaction are the bridge of people to people communication and the bond of friendship between people of different countries.
