Dr. Zhao Meiling, President of WEDS.AA visited Wengga Primary School in Dingri County, Shigatse, and donated teaching supplies.

On June 27, 2025, the “Silk Road Happiness” Special Fund delegation of the China Peace and Development Foundation arrived at Wenga Primary School in Dingri County, Shigatse, Tibet to hand over donated teaching supplies.

Wang Ren, the director of the Dingri County Education Bureau, presided over the ceremony. The principal of Wenga Primary School first delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the school’s teachers and students. In her speech, Zhao Meiling, the president of WEDSAA and the initiator of the “Silk Road Happiness” Special Fund, pointed out that although the earthquake was merciless, there was love in the world. After WEDSAA launched the charity auction initiative, it received an enthusiastic response from many embassies in China and kind-hearted people from all walks of life in China. These supplies not only represent the warmth of the big family of the motherland but also carry the deep friendship of international friends. The director of the Dingri County Education Bureau expressed gratitude for the kind act of the “Silk Road Happiness” Special Fund and presented an honorary certificate and a banner to President Zhao.

Deputy Secretary-General Liu Zhenzhong emphasized that this visit brought the care and high expectations of international friends and people from all walks of life to the students, and hoped the students would study hard and grow up healthily.

The delegation also visited three families of students in difficulty and delivered consolation gifts.
