YHCCF Delegation Visits CFPD to Discuss Youth Cooperation

On May 20, 2025, a high-level delegation from the “Youth House for Cambodia-China Friendship (YHCCF)”, headed by Kim Rithy—who serves as a Central Committee Member of the Cambodian People’s Party, Governor of Preah Vihear Province, and Chairman of the YHCCF—paid a visit to the China Peace Development Foundation (CFPD). The event witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including Liu Zhenzhong, Deputy Secretary-General of CFPD, and Zhao Meiling, President of the Women Empowerment and Development Society in Asia and Africa (WEDS.AA), among other distinguished officials.

Liu Zhenzhong extended a warm welcome to Kim Rithy and his delegation, introducing the foundation’s purpose, business areas, and a series of public welfare projects and cultural exchange activities carried out in Cambodia. He stated that China and Cambodia are traditional friendly neighbors with a deep bond between their peoples. The foundation is willing to further strengthen cooperation with the YHCCF to make greater contributions to promoting youth exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries.

Kim Rithy expressed gratitude to CFPD for its long-term efforts and contributions to Cambodia’s development, highly appraising the positive role of activities such as the “Heart-to-Heart Silk Road” China-Cambodia Friendship Carnival in promoting youth exchange and cooperation between the two countries. He stated that YHCCF is committed to promoting youth exchanges and cooperation between Cambodia and China in various fields, hoping to carry out more diverse cooperative projects with CFPD in the future to create more exchange opportunities for young people of both nations and ensure the enduring inheritance of Cambodia-China friendship.

Zhao Meiling shared the cooperation experience between WEDS.AA and relevant Cambodian institutions in her speech, adding that it will continue to actively promote cooperation with Cambodian counterparts in women and children’s development, education and other fields in the future, so as to help all-round development of China-Cambodia friendly relations.

During the visit, the two sides discussed issues such as how to further strengthen youth exchanges, promote educational cooperation, and carry out public welfare projects, and reached broad consensus on future cooperation directions. This visit has built a new bridge for deepening people-to-people friendly exchanges between China and Cambodia and promoting youth cooperation between the two countries, injecting new vitality into promoting the construction of a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
