President Zhao attended the Pakistan Defense Day reception

On September 30, 2024, President Zhao of the Women Empowerment & Development Society in Asia-Africa attended the Pakistan Defense Day reception at the invitation of H.E. Mr Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Islamic Repubic Pakistan to China, and Brigadier Ghulam Mustafa, Defence & Army Attaché.

The event kicked off with the singing of Pakistan teenagers. Subsequently, a documentary on China-Pakistan military exercise exchange was screened at the reception, vividly demonstrating the long-standing friendly relations between China and Pakistan.

H. E. Mr Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Islamic Repubic Pakistan to China, and Brigadier Ghulam Mustafa, Defence & Army Attaché, delivered speeches at the reception respectively, reviewing the fighting history of the Pakistan Armed Forces and expressing gratitude to the Chinese and Pakistani governments and the two militaries for the friendly cooperation.

H.E. Mr Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Islamic Repubic Pakistan to China, and Brigadier Ghulam Mustafa, Defence & Army Attaché, spoke highly of the efforts made by the Women Empowerment & Development Society in Asia-Africa to enhance the friendship and cooperation between women of China and Pakistan. The WEDS will, as always, play a good role as a link and bridge, actively promote exchanges and mutual learning among women in the Asia-Africa region, win-win cooperation, and contribute to peace and development in the Asia-Africa region.
