Prof. GUO Shulan shared her views from the perspective of women. Firstly, women are an important force in the progress and development of human society. Women have contributed to the development of Hong Kong. Women should give full play to their strengths in pioneering, goodwill, tolerance, communication and cooperation, and continue to contribute their wisdom and strength to the harmonious development of Hong Kong’s economy and society. Secondly, women have the ability to be accommodating and good at communication and co-operation, and can play a special role in resolving conflicts and crises in the face of various contradictions and conflicts in society. Thirdly, women empower the development of Hong Kong society through education. The growth and success of a person’s life is closely linked to family education and school education at an early age. Mothers are the first teachers of their children, and the quality of their mother’s qualities directly affects their children’s behaviors, habits and personalities. Therefore, we should pay attention to women’s education, so that it can continuously nurture outstanding talents and intellectual support at all levels and of all kinds for the social development of Hong Kong, and help Hong Kong to move towards greater prosperity.
