The Chinese and English website of WEDS.AA was officially launched

On September 1, 2023, the Chinese and English website of the Asia Africa Council for the Promotion of Women was officially launched. Ms. Mariam Ragaei, Minister of the Egyptian Embassy in China, Mr. Yang, Commercial Counselor and Information Officer of Sierra Leone, Ms. Ouedraogo Martine, Counselor of the Burkina Faso Embassy in China, Ms. Ruikan, UN Women’s Office official in China, Ms. AMAL, Director of Al Jazeera TV Station, and Ms. Li Xiaocao, Partner of Diaoyutai Food Operations Company attended the website launch ceremony.

President Zhao Meiling thanked Chinese and foreign guests for witnessing the official opening of the Chinese and English website of the Women’s Promotion Association in her speech.

She pointed out that since its establishment, the Women’s Promotion Association has adhered to the purpose of gathering wisdom and strength from all walks of life, promoting women’s unity and progress, and promoting world peace and development. It has worked hard to overcome the difficulties caused by the epidemic and carried out various forms of public welfare activities, benefiting more than 20 Asian and African countries, which has received high praise from all parties. We have launched an English website to help the world better understand the Women’s Promotion Association, better showcase the image of Chinese women, and better tell the story of China.

She emphasized that the opening of the website has further expanded the platform for communication and mutual learning between the Women’s Promotion Association and the world. She hopes that people from all walks of life who are enthusiastic about public welfare will continue to care about the Women’s Promotion Association and provide strong support, promote the continuous development of China’s public welfare undertakings, and make greater contributions to world peace and development.
