Traditional Chinese medicine was born in primitive society.  During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the theory of traditional Chinese medicine had basically formed, and has been summarized and developed in various dynasties since then.  Traditional Chinese medicine carries the experience and theoretical knowledge of the ancient Chinese people’s struggle against diseases.  It is a medical theoretical system gradually formed and developed through long-term medical practice under the guidance of simple materialism and spontaneous dialectical thinking in ancient times.

In addition, it has a profound impact on the medicine such as Japan, South Korea, Korea, Korea, and Vietnam, all of which are developed based on traditional  Chinese  medicine. On October 1, 2018, the World Health Organization for the first time included traditional Chinese medicine in its globally influential medical outline.

With the changes in health concepts and medical models, traditional Chinese medicine has received widespread attention and importance from the international community. The 62nd World Health Assembly passed the Resolution on Traditional Medicine proposed by the Chinese government, encouraging and urging the development of traditional medicine. The Technical Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the International Organization for Standardization has been established, with its secretariat located in China. More than 200 group members from more than 60 countries and regions have joined the World Federation of acupuncture and moxibustion Societies and the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies headquartered in China. More and more countries and regions are actively requesting to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with China in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021, the Asia Africa Women’s Promotion Association organized traditional Chinese medicine experts to visit the Ethiopian Embassy in China. ambassador arranged for all embassy staff to attend the event and delivered a formal speech calling for gender equality and encouraging women to dare to pursue their own dreams. Ms. Zhao Meiling, President of the Woman Empowerment & Development Society in Asia – Africa , also shared the purpose of the association, which is to gather women’s power, promote women’s progress, and promote world peace and development.

Three traditional Chinese medicine experts were present to inspect the physical health of the ambassadors and diplomats using traditional Chinese medicine to observe, smell, ask, and cut. The ambassadors and diplomats expressed their desire to learn more about traditional Chinese medicine culture and look forward to the next public welfare training course on traditional Chinese medicine culture, which will deepen their understanding and recognition of traditional Chinese medicine.

On the evening of March 8, 2021, the Asia Africa Women’s Promotion Association organized traditional Chinese medicine experts to visit the Cultural Department of the Egyptian Embassy in China and delivered health and beauty to diplomats through practical actions, receiving high recognition and recognition from all diplomats. Popularizing traditional Chinese medicine culture and enhancing friendship between the people of China and Egypt, we celebrated a happy Women’s Day together.
